DAVE MUSTAINE: The first time I went into rehab, I had no idea what to expect. This time was different; I was a rehab veteran. I knew this was basically go in, get detoxed, go back to work. By now, I knew what I was doing. I knew all the medical terms. I knew all the medications. I knew that I was probably going to be anemic because I’d been eating a lot of candy. I knew that I would probably need something for my blood pressure, probably Klonopin or clonidine. I knew that I would need some kind of antianxiety medication, like Versed, which is liquid valium, or something like Vistaril. They would start working on the detox, however long that took. Bocanegra was there to make sure everything went smooth. As soon as that was over, I went back to the studio and I got to work.
